BARNEGAT RECYCLING CENTER IS LOCATED AT 5 LIPPENCOTT AVENUE. HOURS OF OPERATION ARE MONDAY THRU FRIDAY 7AM TO 12:30PM AND SATURDAY 8AM TO NOON. FACILITY WILL BE CLOSED FROM 12:00 TO 12:30 DAILY . LEAVES, BRUSH AND CO-MINGLED HOUSEHOLD RECYCLABLES ONLY. THERE WILL BE NO ENTRANCE ALLOWED TO THE FACILITY UNLESS PUBLIC WORKS PERSONNEL ARE PRESENT.

For Recycling pick up, Recycling CANNOT be put in plastic trash bags. They need to be loose in a container NO LARGER than 32 gallons
When placing your recycling out for collection, please separate your bins by a few feet to allow easier pick-up.

Bulk Metal Pick Up
Collected by APPOINTMENT every week. Metal is picked up on Wednesdays.
TV’s Computers, Monitors and Printers and all small appliances – will be picked up curbside each Friday. Call 609-698-0080 ext 120 to schedule.
Propane Tanks, Tires, Auto & Boat Batteries : picked- up each Friday, (Items with a fee must be paid in the Clerk’s office, fee’s paid are non-refundable).

Used Motor Oil can be dropped off at the Public Works Garage Monday through Friday 6:30am – 2:30p.m, please locate a Public Works employee before disposing of oil.
Rechargeable Batteries – drop off at Town Hall (only recycle rechargeable & button cell type batteries, all others are trash.)
Phone Books – are Recyclable and may be placed out on your recycling day separate from recyclying cans.
Technotrash – Container is located in Town Hall and will accept diskettes, CD’s, DVD’s, Video, audio and computer tapes, Jewel Cases and Video Cases, Printer Cartridges (all types), Cell Phones, Pages and PDA’s, Handheld Devices and Accessories for a full list of what can be placed in the cardboard box and restrictions go to www.greendisk.com
