Pet License fees are $9.00 if spayed or neutered and $12.00 if not spayed or neutered
“According to Regulation N.J.A.C. 8:23A-4.1 no municipal clerk or other official designated to license dogs shall do so unless the inoculation lasts through at least ten months of the twelve month licensing period. The regulation specifies that a healthy animal receive a booster prior to license if the current dose expires early. The Ocean County Health Dept is in agreement and would also recommend a booster if the rabies vaccination does not last through October of the licensing year. There is no know risk to a healthy dog receiving rabies vaccination early and boosters are routinely given when dogs are involved in an altercation with a wild animal or an animal unable to be quarantined.”
